Wales is the best-value dog country in Britain, and the reason is unglamorous: it has a lot of working farms that have converted a building, and a farm conversion almost always comes with the two things a dog actually needs — a boundary and somewhere to walk from the door.
Our Welsh register holds fifteen properties that take dogs and whose booking page we have checked still resolves. Seven are below. The cheapest is £360 a week and still has an enclosed garden and a hot tub, which is a combination you will not find at that price in the Lake District or Cornwall.
One thing worth being clear about, because listings are not. “Dog friendly” and “enclosed garden” are separate tags on this site and they mean different things. A property can welcome your dog warmly and still have a boundary that opens onto a lane, which turns every evening into a lead-and-torch operation. Five of the seven below have both tags. The two that do not are flagged in their catch line.
The geography here skews west — Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, the country around Aberystwyth. That is where the stock is, and it is also where the coast path and the dog-friendly beaches are, so the bias works in your favour for once.
