The Best Hot Tub Lodges in Cornwall

Seven Cornish stays with a genuinely private hot tub, ranked and reasoned — what each one is, who it suits, and the catch it comes with.

When you book through our links we earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes which places we feature.

Cornwall is the hardest region in Britain to write this list for, and it is worth saying why before the picks. It has more self-catering stock than anywhere else in the country, it has two coasts, and it prices like it knows all of that. What it does not have, in the volume you would expect, is properties with a genuinely private hot tub — the amenity arrived later here than it did in Scotland or Wales, and a lot of what markets itself on a tub turns out to mean a shared one.

Our Cornish register holds ten with a private tub whose booking page we have checked still resolves. Seven are below, and the spread across the county is genuinely useful: three on or near the north coast around Trebarwith and Camelford, two on the south around Looe and Pentewan, one in the middle near the Eden Project, one on a farm inland.

One pattern worth knowing before you book. Cornwall is the one region where the four-person options undercut the two-person ones — the cottages at Higher Worthyvale sleep four for less per week than most of the cabins here sleep two. If you are a couple who does not mind a spare bedroom, that is the value in this county.

Everything asserted about a specific property below comes from the provider’s own listing data. Nobody here has stayed in these, and a list that pretends otherwise is worth nothing.

01

Lauras Cottage

Cheapest week with a private tub in Cornwall

Lauras Cottage — cottage in Cornwall

A one-bedroom farm cottage for two, and at £309 a week the lowest price of anything with a private hot tub anywhere in our Cornish register — by a clear margin over the next entry. It carries an enclosed garden and a dog policy alongside the tub, which at this price is unusual: most of what undercuts it elsewhere in the country drops one or the other.

The catch: The provider positions it as a base for exploring rather than a destination in itself. If you want to walk out of the door onto the coast path, the Worthyvale and Trebarwith entries below sit closer to it.

02

Stargazy Cabin

Best all-round

Stargazy Cabin — glamping in Cornwall

A glamping cabin near Looe with the fullest amenity set of any Cornish entry at this price: hot tub, log burner, enclosed garden and dogs. The provider places it a short drive from Whitsand Bay, Downderry and Seaton, which is the south coast rather than the busier north.

The catch: Sleeps two. Every four-person option in Cornwall on our register is a cottage rather than a cabin.

03

Valley View Glamping

Best for the view

Valley View Glamping — glamping in Cornwall

The only property in our whole Cornish register that carries a sea view alongside the hot tub, and it stacks a log burner, an enclosed garden and a dog policy on top. Sits by the Pentewan valley cycle path with footpaths from the door, a short drive from Charlestown.

The catch: The most expensive of the two-person entries here bar one. The sea view is what you are paying the premium for.

04

Rose Cottage Higher Worthyvale Farm

Best for four

Rose Cottage Higher Worthyvale Farm — cottage in Cornwall

A two-bedroom farm cottage sleeping four with a hot tub, log burner, enclosed garden and dogs welcome — and at £377 it costs less per week than five of the two-person stays on this list. The provider puts Trebarwith Strand nearby, with lifeguards and a surf school in season, and the South West Coast Path accessible from the property.

The catch: It is one of several units on the same farm, so this is a small-site stay rather than a solitary one. We cap the register at two properties per site, so its sister cottage is the only other one you will see from here.

05

Lily Of The Valley

Best small stay on the north coast

Lily Of The Valley — shepherd's hut in Cornwall

A shepherd's hut for two on a family farm on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a private tub and a dog policy, at £375 — the cheapest hut with a tub in Cornwall. A hut is the smallest version of this holiday and it does that job better than a scaled-down cottage does.

The catch: One room. Check the bathroom arrangement on the provider's page before booking a winter date — huts vary enormously on whether facilities are inside, adjacent, or shared.

06

Pool Lodge

Best for a swim as well as a soak

Pool Lodge — log cabin in Cornwall

The only Cornish entry in our register with a pool tag as well as a hot tub, in a cabin for two inside an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The provider frames it as a romantic or solo retreat rather than a family base, which the sleeps-two capacity supports.

The catch: No dog policy stated, and no log burner. Both are common on the other cabins at this price.

07

The Cabin Retreat

Best base for a first visit

The Cabin Retreat — log cabin in Cornwall

A cabin for two positioned, per the provider, between the Eden Project and Lanhydrock in the middle of the county, with Helman Tor nature reserve across the road. Central Cornwall means both coasts are reachable in a morning, which matters more than it sounds in a county this long.

The catch: Inland. If the point of the trip is falling out of bed onto a beach, the coastal picks above do that and this does not.

Questions people ask

№ 01Where in Cornwall are these?

Spread across the county rather than clustered. Our Cornish register runs from the north coast around Trebarwith and Camelford, through the centre near the Eden Project, to the south coast around Looe and Pentewan. That reflects where the merchants we list from hold stock with private hot tubs — it is not a ranking of Cornish coastline, and the far west around Penzance and the Lizard is thin here.

№ 02Is a hot tub in Cornwall worth it in summer?

Honestly, it is better in the other three seasons. Cornwall is the warmest part of the UK and a tub competes with the beach in July and August. October through March is when it earns its keep, and it is also when these properties are at their cheapest and the coast path is at its emptiest.

№ 03Are all these hot tubs private?

Yes. A tub private to your booking is point one of the Snug test and a shared spa fails a property before we look at anything else. Screening is the thing we cannot check from a feed — a private tub on an open deck is still private and still overlooked — so the provider's photographs are worth a proper look.

№ 04Which ones take dogs?

Most of them. The dog tag on each pick comes from the provider's own pet policy rather than our assumption, and Cornwall is one of the better regions for it — Trebarwith Strand, mentioned by two of the picks above, is a pet-friendly beach. Always check the number of dogs allowed and any surcharge on the provider's page.

№ 05Why seven and not more?

Our Cornish register holds ten properties with a private hot tub whose booking page we have verified still resolves, and these are the seven worth writing about. We publish only destinations we can prove work — a link that tracks a click and lands on a dead page earns nobody anything — and we cap the list at two properties per physical site.

№ 06Are these the prices I will pay?

No. They are from-prices taken from the provider's feed on the date shown beside each pick — the lowest weekly rate that property was showing across its whole calendar. They rank the options honestly. Your dates and the live price are on the provider's own page.

Every place we link to has passed the Snug test — checked, and never ranked for commission.
