The Lake District is the strongest hot-tub search market in England and the thinnest list on this site. Those two facts are related, and they are worth stating before the picks.
Our Lakeland register holds six properties with a genuinely private hot tub whose booking page we have verified still resolves. Cornwall has twice as many. The Lakes have six, and the cheapest of them costs £494 a week against £309 in Cornwall — the same amenity, in the same country, for sixty per cent more.
The reason is supply. The National Park restricts how much new lodge stock can appear, most of what does exist is held by operators who sell direct, and a great deal of what markets itself here as a hot tub property means a shared spa on a park. Six is what survived.
What that means for booking is simple and slightly unwelcome: book earlier than you would anywhere else, and go midweek in the cold months if the price matters. Late January to mid-March is when this list is affordable, and it is also when a fell walk finished in hot water is at its best.
